dc.description	The jamaica (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) is a plant that belongs to the Malvaceas, cultivated in tropical areas, harvested by its fiber, with diverse alimentary and medicinal uses, from whose calyces through infusion you obtain a drink, refreshing, slightly acidulated ( Fennema, 2002), popularly recommended as a spasmolytic, antibacterial, antihypertensive and antiscorbutic diuretic emollient (Márquez et al., 2007). The chalices of this plant (Figure 1) are rich in phenolic compounds in which flavonoids and anthocyanins with marked physiological activity are found (Olatunde, 2003).	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La jamaica (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) es una planta que pertenece a las Malvaceas, cultivada en zonas tropicales, aprovechada por su fibra, con diversos usos alimenticios y medicinales, de cuyos cálices a través de infusión se obtiene una bebida, refrescante, ligeramente acidulada (Fennema, 2002), recomendada popularmente como emoliente diurético espasmolítico, antibacteriano, antihipertensivo y antiescorbútico (Márquez et al., 2007). Los cálices de esta planta (Figura. 1) son ricos en compuestos fenólicos en los que se encuentran los flavonoides y las antocianinas con una marcada actividad fisiológica (Olatunde, 2003).	es_ES
