dc.description	Nayarit regions show considerable heterogeneity in relation to its potential for socioeconomic development. Identifying the potential of each is essential to improve the effectiveness of economic policy actions aimed at them. This paper exposes how this task can be accomplished by an index of socioeconomic development potential that is built with five indicators. Central Region was determined with high development potential; South, South Coast and North Coast regions were classified with medium potential. Factors that decrease socioeconomic potential among regions were: sufficiency coefficient of road network and qualification grade of population.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Las regiones de Nayarit presentan una considerable heterogeneidad en relación a su potencial de desarrollo socioeconómico, identificar el potencial de cada una es básico para mejorar la eficacia de las acciones de política económica destinadas a ellas. El presente trabajo expone cómo esa tarea puede llevarse a cabo mediante un índice de potencial de desarrollo socioeconómico que se construye con cinco indicadores. La Región Centro se determinó con potencial de desarrollo alto; las regiones Sur, Costa Sur y Costa Norte se clasificaron con potencial medio. Los factores que disminuyen el potencial de desarrollo socioeconómico entre regiones fueron el coeficiente de suficiencia de la red vial y el grado de calificación de la población.	es_ES
