dc.description	Food is an interdisciplinary core topic where natural and social sciences, and even art, coincide. Safe access to food is an indicator of sustainable development and is determined at present by educational level. Based on this hypothesis, we conducted a survey in the state of Nayarit, Mexico, involving 7147 houses in urban and rural settings, following the framework used for studies on food safety. The relation between food security and schooling was confirmed and we were able to conclude that education is a predictor of vulnerability regarding food-security issues. Addressing the issue of food from its procurement to what happens once we ingest food is one of the best platforms for scientific training in basic education.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Alimentos es un eje interdisciplinario donde coinciden las ciencias naturales y sociales, inclusive el arte. El acceso seguro de alimentos, es un indicador de desarrollo sustentable y es determinado en la actualidad por el nivel educativo, con esa hipótesis se aplicó en el estado de Nayarit, México, 7147 encuestas a viviendas urbanas y rurales siguiendo el marco de referencia empleado para estudios de seguridad alimentaria. Se confirmó la dependencia entre seguridad alimentaria y el grado de escolaridad y se concluye que la educación es predictor de vulnerabilidad en el tema de seguridad alimentaria. El abordaje de los alimentos desde su aprovisionamiento hasta lo que sucede cuando los ingerimos, es una de las mejores plataformas para la formación científica en educación básica.	es_ES
