Resumen:
El presente trabajo se realizó en el Municipio de Xalisco, Nayarit, en tres huertas de aguacate Hass, denominadas “La Carbonera”, “El Carrizal” y “Oreja de Ratón”. Se realizaron colectas semanales en dos periodos, octubre de 2003 a noviembre de 2004 y marzo a diciembre del 2006, mediante tres técnicas de muestreo: manteo, derribo y redeo. Se determinaron un total de 219 ejemplares de thrips fitófagos, de los cuales el 79.92 % se recolectaron en “La Carbonera”, 15.52 % en “Oreja de Ratón” y 4.56 % en “El Carrizal”. Se identificó un total de once especies fitófagas: Neohydatothrips signifer (Priesner), N. burungae (Hood), Heliothrips haemorrhoidalis (Bouché), Frankliniella invasor Sakimura, F. cubensis Hood, F. borinquen Hood, F. minor Moulton, F. difficilis Hood, F. occidentalis (Pergande), Scirtothrips perseae Nakahara, Pseudophilothrips perseae (Watson).

The present work was carried out in Xalisco, Nayarit, in three orchards of Hass avocado, named, “La Carbonera”, “El Carrizal” and “Oreja de Ratón”. Weekly collections were made, in October 2003 to November 2004 and March to December 2006, using three sampling techniques: drop sheet sampling, knockdown and sweeping insect net. A total of 219 phytophagous specimens of thrips were found, of which 79.92 % were collected in “La Carbonera”, 15.52 % in “Oreja de Ratón” and the smallest collection was made in “El Carrizal” with only 4.56 %. A total of 11 phytophagous species were identified Neohydatothrips signifer (Priesner), N. burungae (Hood), Heliothrips. haemorrhoidalis (Bouché), Frankliniella invasor Sakimura, F. cubensis Hood, F. borinquen Hood, F. minor Moulton, F. difficilis Hood, F. occidentalis (Pergande), Scirtothrips perseae Nakahara, Pseudophilothrips perseae (Watson).
