The best alternative for its approach is the identification of risk factors to achieve early arrest and treatment. dc.description.abstract	El glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto es una neuropatía óptica caracterizada por el daño irreversible en el nervio óptico, considerada una de las principales causas de ceguera en el mundo. La elevación de la presión intraocular es el factor de riesgo más conocido y el único modificable para su tratamiento. La mejor alternativa para su abordaje, es la identificación de los factores de riesgo para lograr una detención y tratamiento tempranos. glaucoma es la segunda causa de ceguera en el mundo, solo superado por la catarata.	es_ES
