dc.description	Human health is intrinsically linked to climate through of a large number of environmental, social, ecological, economic and epidemiological processes, among others. This makes people and communities are vulnerable to the threats of climatic phenomena extremes. Vulnerability is defined as the propensity or predisposition to be negatively affected. Such predisposition constitutes an internal characteristic of the affected element; this characteristic influences the inability to anticipate, cope with, resist and recover from the adverse effects of external pressures or the changes. The measurement of this multidimensional phenomenon is carried out through of three components that are the exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity of the vulnerable element. And the construction of compound indices is a method used to measure the vulnerability of exposed systems.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La salud humana está intrínsecamente vinculados al clima a través de un gran número de variables ambientales, sociales, ecológicas, económicas y procesos epidemiológicos, entre otras. Lo anterior hace que las personas y comunidades sean vulnerables a las amenazas de los fenómenos climáticos extremos. La vulnerabilidad es definida como la propensión o predisposición a ser afectado negativamente. Tal predisposición constituye una característica interna del elemento afectado; esta característica influye en la incapacidad de anticipar, afrontar, resistir y recuperarse de los efectos adversos de las presiones externas o los cambios. La medición de dicho fenómeno multidimensional se realiza a través de tres componentes que son la exposición, sensibilidad y capacidad adaptativa del elemento vulnerable. Y la construcción de índices compuestos es un método utilizado para medir la vulnerabilidad de los sistemas expuestos.	es_ES
