dc.description	In Mexico, cultivation of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) has an annual output of 14 118 t spread over an area of 962 ha (SIAP, 2013). Volume and extension, the state of Nayarit is the largest producer by concentrating more than 80% of national production with 13 221 t (Luna et al., 2013). However, the tropical climate of the state, favors the proliferation of pests that affect the quality and quantity of production, which include several species of aphids, scales, mealybugs and borers (Nova and Arrambide, 1994; Crane and Balerdi, 2000).	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	En México, el cultivo de yaca (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) cuenta con una producción anual de 14 118 t distribuidas en una superficie de 962 ha (SIAP, 2013). Por volumen y extensión, el estado de Nayarit es el principal productor al concentrar más de 80% de la producción nacional con 13 221 t (Luna et al., 2013). Sin embargo, el clima tropical del estado, favorece la proliferación de plagas que afectan la calidad y cantidad de producción, donde destacan varias especies de pulgones, escamas, cochinillas e insectos barrenadores (Nova y Arrambide, 1994; Crane y Balerdi, 2000).	es_ES
