dc.description	The body is associated with nature, but it has been represented in culture, being built, reconstructed, recognized or hidden, depending on the historical moment (BustosRomero, 2011). Starting from the economic order of liberalism and modernism at the end of the 19th century, the gaze of the body is through a market relationship, where it must respond to the efficiency-oriented imperatives of our society by being considered part of the productive force (Le Breton, 2011). According to the biomedical model that seeks the efficiency of the body, it is conceived as an instrument that can deteriorate or not work, so it has to undergo medical instrumentation for its repair, as well as to avoid suffering, aging and death.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El cuerpo se asocia a la naturaleza, pero se ha representado en la cultura, al ser construido, reconstruido, reconocido u ocultado, dependiendo del momento histórico (BustosRomero, 2011). A partir del orden económico de liberalismo y modernismo de fines del siglo XIX, la mirada del cuerpo es a través de una relación de mercado, donde debe responder a los imperativos eficientistas de nuestra sociedad al ser considerado parte de la fuerza productiva (Le Breton, 2011). De acuerdo al modelo biomédico que busca la eficiencia del cuerpo, se concibe a éste como un instrumento que se puede deteriorar o no funcionar, por lo que se tiene que someter a la instrumentación médica para su reparación, así como para evitar el sufrimiento, el envejecimiento y la muerte.	es_ES
