dc.description	This retrospective study aims to analyze the most frequent causes and their clinical relevance, which refer animals with abdominal pain as a result of an alteration in the blind, as well as horses that remain hospitalized and develop a pathology of the blind secondary to other processes Material and methods: Equids hospitalized in the HCV of the UEX with symptoms of colic pain with primary alterations of the blind as well as hospitalized animals that developed secondary pathologies of the blind. Results: 13 horses are included in this study, 10 with primary blind pathologies and 3 that were hospitalized for other reasons and developed a blind alteration. Of the 10 primary cases (GROUP 1) 4 were impactions, 2 eventrations, 1 motility alteration, 1 primary meteorism, 1 rupture and 1 lymphoma in the iliocecal valve. In the 3 secondary cases (GROUP 2), 1 tongue section, 1 sinusotomy and 1 castration are included.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Este estudio retrospectivo pretende analizar las causas más frecuentes y su relevancia clínica, por las que se remiten animales con dolor abdominal como consecuencia de una alteración en el ciego, así como caballos que permanecen hospitalizados y desarrollan una patología del ciego secundaría a otros procesos Material y métodos: Equidos hospitalizados en el HCV de la UEX con sintomatología de dolor cólico con alteraciones primarias de ciego así como animales hospitalizados que desarrollaron patologías de ciego secundariamente. Resultados: Se incluyen 13 caballos en este estudio, 10 con patologías de ciego primaria y 3 que fueron hospitalizados por otros motivos y desarrollaron una alteración de ciego. De los 10 casos primarios (GRUPO 1) 4 fueron impactaciones, 2 eventraciones, 1 alteración de la motilidad, 1 meteorismo primario, 1 ruptura y 1 linfoma en la válvula iliocecal. En los 3 casos secundarios (GRUPO 2), se incluye 1 sección de lengua, 1 sinusotomia y 1 castración.	es_ES
