dc.description	The prostate is a gland that weighs 15-20 grams divided into 4 zones: the peripheral zone that constitutes 70% of the gland and is the area palpated during digital rectal examination. The central zone includes the area in relation to the ejaculatory ducts and corresponds to 20% of the glandular tissue. The remaining 10% is formed by the transition zone around the urethra and the anterior non-glandular fibromuscular stroma. Prostate cancer is the malignancy most common in adult man 98% corresponds to the adenocarcinoma of prostatic acini, which is slow growing and often passes indolent for the patient to advanced stages. Of patients with this disease 8% will develop significant symptoms and 3% will die from this disease.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La próstata es una glándula que pesa 15-20 gramos dividida en 4 zonas: la zona periférica que constituye el 70% de la glándula y es el área palpada durante el tacto rectal, La zona central comprende el área en relación a los ductos eyaculadores y corresponde al 20% del tejido glandular. El 10% restante está formado por la zona de transición alrededor de la uretra y por el estroma fibromuscular anterior no glandular. El cáncer de próstata es la neoplasia maligna mas común en el hombre adulto el 98% corresponde al adenocarcinoma de los acinos prostáticos, la cual es de crecimiento lento y muchas veces pasa indolente para el paciente hasta etapas avanzadas. De los pacientes con esta enfermedad 8% desarrollará síntomas significativos y 3% morirá por esta enfermedad.	es_ES
