dc.description	Elder abuse is the single or repeated action, or the lack of appropriate response, that occurs within any relationship where there is an expectation of trust and which produces damage or anguish to an older adult. Within the family circle comes a degradation that leads to discrimination and differential treatment, manifested by shouting, pushing or words that affect him emotionally. Therefore, family functionality is an important factor to evaluate, understood as a systematic relational dynamic that occurs through: cohesion, harmony, roles, communication, permeability, affectivity and adaptability.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El maltrato al adulto mayor es la acción única o repetida, o la falta de respuesta apropiada, que ocurre dentro de cualquier relación donde exista una expectativa de confianza y la cual produzca daño o angustia a un adulto mayor. Dentro del círculo familiar llega a una degradación que lo conduce a una discriminación y a un trato diferenciado, manifestándose con gritos, empujones o palabras que lo afectan emocionalmente. Por ello, la funcionalidad familiar es un factor importante a evaluar, entendida como dinámica relacional sistemática que se da a través de: cohesión, armonía, roles, comunicación, permeabilidad, afectividad y adaptabilidad.	es_ES
