dc.description	The formation of the education system in Mexico has required a central actor: rural teachers. At the end of the Mexican revolution, the incipient State proposed two tasks: solving the agrarian problem and education. Seventy-eight percent of the Mexican population was illiterate because during the Porfiriato (1880-1910) education was privileged in urban areas, while most of the population lived in rural areas. Who were the rural teachers who carried out this task? What were the contributions of rural education to the construction of the country? An approach to rural teachers is presented, using the qualitative technique of interviewing one hundred rural teachers in the state of Nayarit in the Mexican Pacific. The pedagogical implications allow us to recover the history of rural education as well as the memory from the protagonists themselves.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La formación del sistema educativo en México ha requerido de un actor central: los maestros rurales. Al término de la revolución mexicana, el incipiente Estado se propuso dos tareas: resolver el problema agrario y el educativo. El 78% de la población mexicana era analfabeta puesto que durante el porfiriato (1880-1910) se había privilegiado la educación en áreas urbanas, en tanto que la mayor parte de población radicaba en localidades rurales. ¿Quiénes fueron los maestros rurales que llevaron a cabo esa tarea? ¿Cuáles fueron las aportaciones de la educación rural a la construcción de país? Se presenta una aproximación a los maestros rurales, para lo cual se utilizó la técnica cualitativa de entrevista a cien maestros rurales del estado de Nayarit en el Pacífico mexicano. Las implicaciones pedagógicas permiten recuperar la historia de la educación rural así como la memoria desde los propios protagonistas.	es_ES
