dc.description Crab is an important resource recently incorporated into artisanal fishing in the “Dead Sea” Lagoon System Oaxaca-Chiapas. The main purpose of this information is to describe aspects related to the ecology, biology and fishing of Callinectes arcuatus, C. bellicosus and C. toxotes in that locality. The monthly surveys from April 2005 to March 2006 were to collect physicochemical parameters such as salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature; ecological information regarding the type of substrate; biological information related to growth, longevity, fecundity, size structure, reproductive period, minimum catch size, relative abundance; and fishing vessels that included selectivity and determination of the unit of effort. For the estimation of growth in the identified species the equation of the von Benalanffy model was applied. es_ES
dc.description.abstract La jaiba es un recurso importante recientemente incorporado a la pesca artesanal en el Sistema Lagunar "Mar Muerto" Oaxaca - Chiapas. La presente información tiene como propósito fundamental describir aspectos relacionados con la ecología, biología y la pesca de las jaiba Callinectes arcuatus, C. bellicosus y C. toxotes en esa localidad. Los muestreos mensuales de abril del 2005 a marzo del 2006 fueron para recabar parámetros fisicoquimicos como salinidad, ph, oxigeno disuelto y temperatura; información ecológica en cuanto al tipo de sustrato; biológica, relacionada con crecimiento, longevidad, fecundidad, estructura de tallas, periodo reproductivo, talla mínima de captura, abundancia relativa; y los pesqueros que incluyeron selectividad y determinación de la unidad de esfuerzo. Para la estimación de crecimiento en las especies identificadas se aplicó la ecuación del modelo de von Benalanffy. es_ES
