dc.description	Objective: to identify the drug and public health information needs of physicians at a second level hospital in Nayarit, Mexico. Methods: a descriptive study was conducted in which a questionnaire validated by pilate study and experts was applied to 112 physicians selected by simple randomization. The variables chosen were: information needs, informative behavior and satisfaction of information needs. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics. Results: the response rate was 82.35%. The 94.6% need additional information to make decisions. E165.1% expressly needed information on pharmacotherapy and epidemiological surveillance 47.3% of the time. The preferred ways to obtain information were: medical journals (66.0%) and Gulas de la Práctica Clínica (60.7%). 64.28 % did not consult databases or repositories due to a lack of computers and Internet and 76.8 % expressed that their information needs were unsatisfied.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Objetivo: identificar las necesidades de información sobre medicamentos y salud pública de los médicos de un hospital de segundo nivel en Nayarit, México. Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo en el que se aplicó un cuestionario validado por estudio piloto y expertos a 112 médicos seleccionados por aleatorización simple. Las variables elegidas fueron: necesidades de información, comportamiento informativo y la satisfacción de las necesidades de información. El análisis de los datos se hizo mediante estadística descriptiva. Resultados: la tasa de respuesta fue del 82.35 %. El 94.6 % necesitó información adicional para tomar decisiones. El 65.1 % expreso necesitar información sobre farmacoterapéutica y sobre vigilancia epidemiológica en el 47.3% de las veces. Las vías preferidas para obtener información fueron: revistas médicas(66.0%) y Gulas de la Práctica Clínica (60.7 %). El 64.28 % no consultaba bases de datos ni repositorios por carecer computadoras e Internet y el 76.8 % expresó que sus necesidades de información estaban insatisfechas.	es_ES
