Resumen : La transmigración dental es la migración de un diente a través de la línea media hacia el lado opuesto. La etiología no es específica, puede considerarse desde pérdidas prematuras de dientes temporales, enfermedades endocrinas, herencia, etc. No existe ningún síntoma en los dientes con transmigración por lo que su diagnostico ocurre durante la revisión de otra patología. Su prevalencia puede variar según la zona geográfica donde se realice el estudio y afecta el maxilar o la mandíbula y en pocas ocasiones puede ser bilateral. El diente con transmigración se puede dejar en observación o realizar un tratamiento, este puede ser quirúrgico para extraerlo o ortodóncico para realizar la tracción del diente y llevarlo al arco dental. El tratamiento puede variar según la edad del paciente, la inclinación del diente afectado y la zona en la que se detecte la transmigración.
Descripción : Dental transmigration It is the migration of a tooth through the midline toward the opposite side. The etiology is not specific, can be considered from premature loss of teeth, endocrine diseases, inheritance, etc. There is no symptom in teeth with transmigration so the diagnosis occurs during the revision of other pathology. Its prevalence may vary depending on the geographical area where the study takes place and it affects the maxilla or the mandible and rarely can be bilateral. The tooth with transmigration can be left in observation or a treatment, this can be surgically to remove or orthodontic to perform tooth traction and take it to the dental arch. Treatment may vary depending on the age of the patient, the inclination of the affected tooth and the area which detects the transmigration.
