Descripción : This research was born from the need to inquire about cultural processes from the municipal seat of San Pedro Lagunillas, focused on documenting and characterizing the main cultural manifestations that occur within the festive calendar and their implications, as well as the participation of the different social structures at the moment to organize and execute the festive life of the town; this research takes place in the locality of San Pedro Lagunillas, head of the municipality that receives the same name, which is located in the southern area of the state of Nayarit and limits the north and east with the municipality of Santa María del Oro. This town concentrates an important range of theatrical manifestations in the framework of sociocultural events, such as the main civic and religious festivals that they celebrate throughout the year. Seville and Portal mention that the party is born as a space of multiple edges that are linked in a complex polychromatic plot: the playful with the sacred, the religious with the mythical. This causes the party to be a whole with the ritual, the theater, power relations and work (Seville and Portal, 2005). Thus it is observed that in the collective imagination of the inhabitants of the town of San Pedro Lagunillas, there is a rooting and feeling of identity.
