Resumen : Para mejorar la salud, la supervivencia, el adecuado crecimiento y desarrollo del niño debemos asegurar que cada recién nacido tenga un comienzo saludable. La inversión en la salud y bienestar del neonato es solo el inicio de la recompensa en el futuro. La unidad de cuidado neonatal es el área encargada de brindar atención a los recién nacidos desde su nacimiento hasta los 28 días de vida, donde se llevan a cabo cuidados mínimos, intermedios o intensivos según se requiera de acuerdo con el estado del paciente. Esto permite utilizar los recursos adecuados para cada necesidad de forma eficiente, lo que implica que se definan y planifiquen las actividades asistenciales conforme con el nivel de cuidado del neonato.
Descripción : To improve the health, survival, proper growth and development of the child, we must ensure that every newborn has a healthy start. Investing in the health and well-being of the newborn is only the beginning of the reward in the future. The neonatal care unit is the area responsible for providing care to newborns from birth to 28 days of life, where minimal, intermediate or intensive care is carried out as required according to the patient's condition. This allows the use of adequate resources for each need in an efficient manner, which implies that care activities are defined and planned according to the level of care of the newborn.
