dc.descriptionEthology, a science that studies animal behavior, is as old as man, although only in 1973 was recognized as such, by granting researchers Lorenz, Tinbergen and von Frish the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology for his studies in animal behavior. It has been recognized that it has in animal production, when applying this knowledge in programs of feeding, reproduction, design of facilities, handling, transport and slaughtering of animals, as show multiple studies with different species domestic, which are reviewed in the present work.es_ES
dc.description.abstractLa etología, ciencia que estudia el comportamiento animal, es tan antigua como el hombre, aunque solamente en 1973 fue reconocida como tal, al otorgárseles a los investigadores Lorenz, Tinbergen y von Frish el premio Nobel en medicina y fisiología por sus estudios en conducta animal. Se ha reconocido la importancia que tiene en la producción animal, al aplicarse estos conocimientos en programas de alimentación, reproducción, diseño de instalaciones, manejo, transporte y sacrificio de los animales, como lo demuestran múltiples estudios realizados con diferentes especies domésticas, los cuales son revisados en el presente trabajo.es_ES
