Resumen : Los tres artículos abordan diferentes aspectos de la ortodoncia. El primero presenta un caso clínico de tratamiento ortodóntico en un paciente con clase II esqueletal y apiñamiento severo, destacando el uso de mini-implantes en la cresta infracigomática para evitar efectos adversos en el cierre de espacios. El segundo analiza la prevalencia de discrepancias transversales de los maxilares en pacientes de Nayarit, México, resaltando la importancia del diagnóstico con herramientas como radiografías y tomografías. Finalmente, el tercer artículo explora el uso de mensajes de texto como un recurso efectivo en la ortodoncia para mejorar la asistencia a citas y fomentar hábitos positivos en los pacientes.
Descripción : The three articles address different aspects of orthodontics. The first presents a clinical case of orthodontic treatment in a patient with skeletal class II and severe crowding, highlighting the use of mini-implants in the infrazygomatic ridge to avoid adverse effects on space closure. The second analyzes the prevalence of transverse maxillary discrepancies in patients from Nayarit, Mexico, highlighting the importance of diagnosis with tools such as radiographs and CT scans. Finally, the third article explores the use of text messages as an effective resource in orthodontics to improve appointment attendance and encourage positive habits in patients.
